NASA’s Hubble and James Webb Space Telescopes recently observed a star-forming region in the Carina Nebula. The area, known as the Cat’s Head Nebula, is about 7,500 light-years from Earth. NASA published the images on October 29, 2026.
In visible light, Hubble showed an elongated dark pillar of dust and hints of young stars forming. Webb’s infrared images show many stars and other hidden details. The images provide complementary views of this region.
