Apple introduces HomeView: a $299 home screen with Siri AI

On October 13, 2026, Apple introduced Apple HomeView, a home device with a 7-inch Liquid Retina display. It runs on Apple Intelligence with Siri AI. Pre-orders opened on the day of the announcement, sales will begin on November 13, and the price in the US will be $299.

HomeView brings together entertainment, communication and smart home control: music, FaceTime calls, home monitoring and voice-controlled automations. The device can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall; for the wall-mounted option, Schneider Home offers three mounts. According to Apple, privacy and security are built into the foundation of the device.

A personal screen for everyone

HomeView recognizes up to six people by face and adapts to each of them: each user has their own home screen with apps and widgets. Personal content from Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders and Find My is shown only when the system has recognized the owner and their recently unlocked iPhone or iPad is nearby. Shared albums and music are available to everyone in the home.

Camera and microphone data is processed by Secure Exclaves, isolated environments in the A18 chip. Apple states that the information processed there is inaccessible to HomeView's programs, to apps, to the user, and to the company itself. Siri requests are handled on the device or in Private Cloud Compute, where data is neither stored nor accessible to Apple.

HomeView serves as a smart home panel: cameras, thermostat, lights and locks can be controlled by touch or by voice. The device is compatible with Apple Home Collection, created together with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, and with Matter accessories.

Where and when it will appear

In the European Union, sales of Apple HomeView are not planned, since Siri AI is currently unavailable in iOS in the EU; Apple says it is looking for a solution with the EU. In Singapore, pre-orders will open on October 15; in South Africa, the device will be sold through authorized resellers.
