On October 13, 2026, Garmin presented the third generation of the MARQ collection. These are six premium tool watches: MARQ Adventurer, MARQ Athlete, MARQ Aviator, MARQ Commander, MARQ Diver, and MARQ Golfer. By the company's design, they are used both in everyday life and in sports, with navigation and communication built directly into the watch.
All models are made of Grade-5 titanium and have sapphire glass. The ceramic bezels on each model have their own pattern, the straps and bracelets also differ, and the watch faces can be customized. The company calls the 1.4-inch bezel-less AMOLED display the largest it has put on MARQ.
The main difference from many smartwatches is that some functions work without a phone. Via inReach and LTE the watch makes calls, exchanges text and voice messages, receives weather forecasts, and loved ones can see the owner's location in the Garmin Messenger app using the Garmin Locate feature. In an emergency, an SOS signal is sent from the watch to Garmin Response's round-the-clock coordination center.
Preloaded TopoActive maps are available right out of the box worldwide, with address search. The built-in speaker and microphone are for voice commands; replying to messages through the virtual assistant of a connected phone is possible when paired via Bluetooth and with a data connection. There is also an LED flashlight with microlens optics, and the Adventurer model is stated to have the ClimbPro feature with information about current and upcoming climbs.
For health, an ECG app, stress, sleep, Pulse Ox blood oxygen level, and HRV data are stated, as well as a morning recovery report and an evening report with recommendations on sleep, training, weather, and events. The ECG app is not supported by all Garmin watches and not in all regions; it is intended for adults from 22 years old.
The collection is already on sale, recommended prices start at $2,500, and up to 18 days of battery life is stated in smartwatch mode. Garmin separately stipulates the conditions: inReach requires an active subscription, LTE coverage is not available in all regions, and satellite communication and SOS on these watches have limitations compared to other inReach devices, so requirements and service availability should be checked in advance.
