On October 14, 2026, Google announced expanded access to Deep Review, a system for checking complex documents. The company announced this at its Research@ event in Mountain View.
Deep Review checks documents for logical consistency and the factual support for claims made in them. Google notes that the system helps perform these checks, while researchers retain the right to determine the creative direction of their work.
Google researchers and external authors used an early version of the system. With its help, they reviewed more than 16,000 research publications submitted to leading computer science conferences.
Deep Review is now available to the general public for checking a range of technical documents. Google gives legal agreements and financial reports as examples.
