Windows Insider wallpaper metadata lists Photoshop for Mac

On October 15, reverse engineer and ViVeTool co-developer Rafael Rivera drew attention to the metadata for new wallpapers marking the 12th anniversary of the Windows Insider program. A screenshot of the properties for the file WP12-DM.png lists Adobe Photoshop 27.10 for Macintosh as the program and October 1, 2026, in the date field.

In the ZIP archive downloaded by the Windows Latest author, the fields for the program name, date, and title are blank. One reply to the post says the files were updated. Microsoft has not publicly explained the situation.
