Jono: One Character and a One-Minute Turn for Each Player
XORit Editorial · Sources, AI assistance and corrections

In October 2026, the free platformer Jono, created by Tuomas Erikoinen, an artist on the original Angry Birds, launched on Steam. Only one person can play at a time; everyone else waits their turn.
When a player’s turn comes, they control the pixel character for exactly one minute, navigating obstacles. Control then passes to the next player, who continues from where the previous player stopped. While one player makes their way through the level, everyone else can watch and chat together.
In its first 17 days, more than 540 players sent over 85,000 messages in the chat. In a Reddit post, Erikoinen suggested that the game attracts people and the chat helps them stay.
